
Let me share with you what coaching is and is not!
Life Coaching
Coaching is about a relationship between the coach and the client to create a better life the client wants.
You are the expert in your life. Coaching helps you connect to you, your wisdom, and take action to create the life you want.
Coaching doesn’t necessarily show you anything new – usually we know what we need to do! But it can give you a very different outlook – to see you and your perspective differently.
It is about raising awareness, NOT giving advice, counseling or therapy.
It supports the client to change according to his or her plan(s) and action is absolutely key.
What’s involved in coaching and what you should expect.
Change can be part of the coaching process when it helps you reach your goals.
Ups and downs are normal in our lives-and so is reaching a plateau.
The client will decide the agenda for each session
Together we will become “thinking partners” as we work on things you haven’t quite solved yet.
I will be helping you to… set, clarify and maintain a focus on things you want to achieve.
As your Coach
I will gradually hold you accountable- for what you say you want to do.
I will ask questions to help you think about different perspectives to reach solutions and strategies to reach your goals.
I will encourage, support and believe in you! Even if you don’t believe in yourself.
As a client
Be honest (tell me when you can’t talk about something, or if you are not getting what you need in our session.)
Be willing to adopt a more positive outlook on self and life.
Be ready to be fully accountable for your life, decisions and actions.
Remember: You are responsible for your results. Success is directly related to your commitment and the effort you give to make it happen.
